Thief Thief is a well-mannered and generally likeable two-man band hailing from Boston, MA. Jeff Thief plays guitar with both hands; not the same way most other people play guitar with both hands, mind you, but with a two-hand tapping style sans samplers all his own. Colin Thief plays drums with both hands and both feet, much in the same manner as other drummers, but he makes funny faces while he plays, belying the intensity he brings to his craft. With influences ranging from Hella to Don Caballero and Piglet to Lightning Bolt, Thief Thief creates instrumental, danceable music that makes their simple duo sound like a power trio. Their melodies can only easily be described as "different" and their energy and precision on stage are certainly to be both admired and enjoyed.
